Little Wonders is a private practice dedicated to quality occupational therapy and speech therapy services for children, provided by a highly caring and qualified therapy staff. 

 

We provide comprehensive assessment and skilled treatment of sensory-motor and speech impairments that interfere with a child's ability to achieve their potential in daily functions, such as fine motor and gross motor play, learning new skills, handwriting, social/emotional skills, attention, communication, visual-perceptual skills, and feeding. All of our therapists specialize their training and focus on children, and we commit ourselves to providing quality intervention to babies, toddlers, preschoolers and young school aged children, every day.

Our goal is that your child enjoy and participate in all areas of play and productivity, including: self mastery in daily tasks. Activities such as dressing, eating, playing with friends, completing homework, organizing and succeeding in his or her day are the hallmarks of a happy child.

Suzanne Bynum, OTR/L

Suzanne is an NDT trained therapist and is a Registered Occupational Therapist certified with the North Carolina Board and National Board of Occupational Therapists, and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

She has extensive training and pediatric experience in sensory-motor based interventions and has USC/WPS Sensory Integration Certification #2718. Her specialization in early intervention has led her to certification in the neuro-developmental treatment of the baby (NDT), and she also holds training in TAMO with Ingrid Tscharnuter, (Tscharnuter Akademie for Movement Organization). Qualifications also include numerous course work in Sensory Integration, Handwriting, Infant feeding, Picky/Problem feeders, DIR/Floortime; and Therapeutic Listening certification.

Suzanne is a graduate of the OT Bachelor of Science program at the University of Toronto and relocated to Charlotte from Texas with her husband and twins in 2000.

Suzanne works closely with her therapists to ensure a team approach, and that all therapists have the skills, tools and equipment necessary to deliver professional and skilled care to all children in receipt of services.

Suzanne is available to speak to teachers and parent groups and loves the opportunity to share her knowledge and pass on relevant information you can use immediately!

Ashley Scott, MS OTR/L

Ashley is a registered occupational therapist, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy. She is also an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Ashley was born and raised in Michigan, where she stayed to complete her undergraduate and graduate studies. She graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science in May 2013, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in December 2015. She completed two pediatric fieldwork rotation working with children of all ages in a school, hospital, and outpatient setting. Following graduation, Ashley relocated with her husband to the Charlotte area to pursue her passion of pediatric therapy. In her free time she enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Monica Wall, MS OTR/L

Monica is a Registered Occupational Therapist certified with the North Carolina Board as well as the National Board of Occupational Therapy.  She is also a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.  She was born and raised in Pennsylvania.  She graduated from Misericordia University in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Health Science, Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, and a minor in Psychology.  Post graduation, Monica relocated to the Charlotte area and worked with geriatric population for a short time before pursuing her passion of working with children.  In her free time, Monica enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Danielle McDaniel, MOT, OTR/L, Owner and Occupational Therapist

Danielle is a registered occupational therapist, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy. Danielle was born and raised in North Carolina and is a self-proclaimed Carolina girl. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and graduate degree in occupational therapy at Chatham University. Danielle has specialized training in the areas of sensory integration, handwriting with the Handwriting Without Tears program, and visual motor skills. She is passionate about pediatrics and helping her clients work towards independence in all their daily areas of occupations. In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and pup, Royce!

As an owner, Danielle strives to achieve success with all clients and maintain the most up to date trainings with her therapists. Danielle is available to speak with teachers and also provides free screenings at daycares and in the clinic. She loves the opportunity to advocate for both the profession and her beloved clientele! 

Ashley Scott, MS OTR/L

Ashley is a registered occupational therapist, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy. Ashley was born and raised in Michigan, where completed her undergraduate and graduate studies, obtaining a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Since relocating to the Charlotte area in 2016, Ashley has been pursuing her passion of working with pediatric clients. She has completed coursework in the Handwriting Without Tears program, and has an active interest in feeding, Therapeutic Listening, and infant therapy. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends family, and her dog, Ochi!

Rachel Lindenauer, MS OTR/L

Rachel is a registered Occupational Therapist, certified by the National Board of Occupational Therapy. Rachel was born and raised in Florida, the sunshine state. She attended University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelors in Behavioral Health. In 2016, Rachel moved to New York City to pursue her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Columbia University. She relocated to Charlotte, NC in 2018 to begin her career as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. Rachel's passion for the pediatric population began at a young age watching her mother teach elementary school. She was inspired to help children reach their full potential. She is interested in furthering her knowledge in Sensory Integration, the Handwriting Without Tears program, and emotional regulation. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her fiance, running, and walking her dog, Max! 

Susie Purviance, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

Susie Purviance is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist who earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia. She has been practicing for eighteen years within K-12 public school settings in Georgia, South Carolina, and New York. Susie recently completed coursework in neurodevelopment and has a passion for building on children’s strengths to help them succeed. She grew up in Atlanta and has lived in Charlotte, Amsterdam, London, and New York City. In her free time, Susie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching sports.
